Regardless of the model, I am a strong believer that one of the most important factors in therapy is an empathetic therapeutic alliance. To paraphrase a quote from education: “People don’t care what you know, until they know that you care.” The therapy “room” should be a place where you can express yourself with out fear of judgement. Each individual is entitled to be treated with a high positive regard.

One thing that I often tell those that are in therapy with me is to consider: UNCONDITIONAL SELF-ACCEPTANCE (USA) for themselves.
